| 3 Mobile - Making the Right Client Connection
‘3’ is Ireland's newest mobile phone network, offering voice, video and data services to Irish consumers. Owned by Hutchison Whampoa, one of Hong Kong's biggest companies with a successful track record in global telecommunications, it launched its services to consumers in Ireland last year.
C3imaging, through its London branch, had already successfully undertaken the graphics and installation for ‘3’ Stores in the UK on behalf of Retail Point of Sale consultants, CRC. When it decided to launch ‘3’ in Ireland last year, and open up a chain of stores, CRC had only one port of call.
“As we have a long standing excellent relationship with C3 London, it was the natural choice to keep our work within the C3 Group as we knew that C3 Dublin would understand the quality and standards required by our Client“, explained Matt Foney, Production Director at CRC. “The comparable machinery in London and Dublin ensured that we knew exactly what quality we were going to get”.
The brief was to produce graphics for each of the new stores including Duratrans, magnetic poster panels, mounted boards and particularly, self adhesive vinyl, to act as wallpaper for a complicated in-store design.
In addition, skilled installation was required to furnish each store to very tight and constantly moving deadlines. C3imaging, with its experienced Signage and Installation Division was able to meet these very exacting requirements.
The target was to open 8 flag ship stores from November 2006 – March 2007 including Grafton Street & Henry Street, almost two stores per month. All stores were completed to specification and to deadline.
C3imaging continues to work for ‘3’ and CRC and are currently producing graphics and installing the next phase of stores.
Matt Foney commented, “C3’s production and service have been fantastic considering the incredibly tight lead-times imposed upon CRC with very demanding and sometimes ridiculous deadlines. The shop floor staff at C3 Dublin work miracles for CRC on a weekly basis”.
